Are more homeowners facing foreclosure in San Luis Obispo (SLO) County?
Between September 15, 2010 and to date, data from local tax records
shows a decline in the number of notices-of-defaults (NODs) received by
homeowners in SLO County. 
The
lowest number of NODs are received by homeowners in the city of San
Luis Obispo. Homeowners in the North coastal towns between San Simeon
and Los Osos, and Five-Cities area registered a noticeable drop of
12.33% and 41.24% respectively. Contrary,
the NODs filed on homeowners in North County, namely Atascadero,
Templeton, Paso Robles, Shandon, Santa Margarita and Creston, rose by
6.47% to 461 in a 35-day period. On
the whole, SLO County saw an overall decline of 18.34% which is
encouraging news for homeowners in general and the community. The
above statistics reflect data culled from local tax records and
foreclosure service from September 15, 2010 - October 19, 2010, and
deemed accurate at time of report but not guaranteed. **************
